Dr. Bowen is passionate about providing care to people in his community as well as developing countries.  He partners with organizations like The Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation and the KEX Kids program to help children in local schools get a comprehensive eye exam and glasses.

Internationally, Dr. Bowen has helped provide vision care to the people of Senegal, Tanzania, Guatemala, Peru and Mexico since 2015, through short-term clinics, totaling ten trips and counting! He often remarks that his work in the States and in developing countries are complimentary, balancing each other to give him purpose, all of which speaks to his passion for preserving and restoring eyesight.
